Eclipse Optics Extended Warranty Protection Plan

To enhance your shopping experience, we offer a comprehensive extended warranty protection plan. This plan ensures your eyewear remains protected against accidental damage. Below are the details of our warranty offerings:
Basic Warranty
All eyewear purchased from Eclipse Optics comes with a Basic Warranty at no additional cost. This warranty covers any accidental damage that occurs within the first 30 days of receipt of the item.
Extended Warranty Plans
For extended protection beyond the initial 30 days, Eclipse Optics offers three optional plans:
Bronze Plan
- Coverage Period: 90 days (3 months) from the date of receipt of the item
- Coverage Details: Protection against any accidental damage
- Cost: $1
Silver Plan
- Coverage Period: 180 days (6 months) from the date of receipt of the item
- Coverage Details: Protection against any accidental damage
- Cost: $2
Gold Plan
- Coverage Period: 1 year from the date of receipt of the item
- Coverage Details: Comprehensive protection including accidental damage, manufacturer defects, and wear and tear
- Cost: $4
Terms and Conditions
Claims Process
To make a claim under any of the extended warranty plans, please reference the email you received after purchasing the extended plan at check out. Claims will be processed promptly, and replacements or repairs will be issued as per the terms of the selected plan.
For basic warranty claims, please reach out to info@eclipseoptics.us and reference your order number in the subject line and include pictures of the damage and an explanation as to how it occurred.
Limitations
While Eclipse Optics's warranty program is designed to be no-questions-asked in nature, there are still some limitations.
Eclipse Optics' aforementioned warranty products do not cover damage that occurs during the shipping process. Damage incurred as a result of shipping falls under a separate claims process that can be found below.
One warranty must be purchased at a rate equivalent to the number of pairs of eyewear being purchased (1:1). One warranty cannot be applied to multiple pairs of eyewear.
Coverage Scope: This extended warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, scuffs, and lens degradation.
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect, including but not limited to dropping, crushing, or bending the eyewear.
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications.
- Exposure to excessive heat, chemicals, or harsh environmental conditions.
- Loss or theft of the product.
Consumption
Each warranty is allotted one "use" per warranty purchase. In other words, the customer can exercise a no-questions-asked replacement once in a warranty period. For example, a customer purchases a pair of glasses and a 365-day warranty for $3 on January 1. On July 1 of that same year, they exercise a warranty replacement. This counts as whole consumption of the warranty that was purchased on January 1.
Replacements
Our warranties allow a customer to receive a no-cost replacement of eyewear purchased with an applicable warranty. In the event the model of eyewear originally purchased is no longer in stock, the customer may choose a model of eyewear of equal or lesser value to that of the model purchased with the warranty in question.
Shipping Warranty
All orders are insured at amounts that will cover the entirety of the order in the event of a loss. Insurance is purchased at the time of shipping and is underwritten by the respective carriers selected at checkout. Please refer to our shipping page for more information on this process.
Abuse of Program
Eclipse Optics is dedicated to providing fair and comprehensive warranty coverage to all customers. However, any abuse of the extended warranty program will result in immediate consequences. Abuse includes, but is not limited to:
- Frequent Claims: Submitting excessive claims that are unreasonable or appear to be fraudulent, including those that appear to be timed with warranty expiration dates.
- False Information: Providing inaccurate or misleading information during the claims process.
- Intentional Damage: Deliberate damage to items to exploit the warranty coverage.
Consequences of Abuse
In the event that Eclipse Optics determines, at its sole discretion, that a customer has abused the extended warranty program, the following actions will be taken:
- Denial of Benefits: All warranty claims and benefits will be denied.
- Future Orders: The customer will be prohibited from placing future orders with Eclipse Optics.
Eclipse Optics reserves the right to take legal action in cases of severe abuse. By purchasing our extended warranty plans, you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in this document.
